About Us
Ray Buchanan
Ray was born in 1968 in Oklahoma City, OK and has lived there all of his life. He graduated from Living Word Academy High School in 1986 and attended one year at Oklahoma Christian College. He then transferred to Central State University (Now UCO) and completed his Bachelors of Science in Funeral Service in 1990. He became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in March 1991, studied and received his insurance license and gained the much needed knowledge to pass on the advantages of pre-planning to his friends and neighbors. The rest, as they say, is history.
Ray met his wife Jana in 1987 at church and they were married in 1992. Jana did all of the elegant decorating at the funeral home. Ray and Jana have two beautiful twin daughters, Kara & Katie. The girls turned 13 the day the funeral home opened for business.
Peggy Buchanan
Peggy was born and raised in Arkansas and came to Oklahoma City after graduating high school. She attended Oklahoma City University for 2 1/2 years before joining the work force. She met and married Kenneth R. Buchanan in 1965. Peggy's career began in the finance industry, where she worked for 8 years. She then became a church secretary for a year and then operated a Christian school daycare. She then joined her son in the funeral industry in 1990.
Carol Bird
Carol is a resident of Bethany, OK, and is married to Wayne Bird. She is a member of Council Road Baptist Church and teaches the 4 year old bible class. Carol loves working in her flower beds and enjoys her children and grandchildren. After losing some family members, Carol thought there should be an easier way to handle funeral arrangements. Therefore, she decided to get her insurance license and for over 20 years she has worked with both family owned and corporate funeral homes. She believes that the individual funeral home can give better service to families and make a bigger difference in the funeral industry.
